- Concept: To Celebrate the 800th anniversary of Chartres Cathedral the artists derived the iconography for Sacred Light from the history of the construction of the Cathedral. For the public showing they collaborated with master organist Odile Jutten to create an immersive visual-acoustic experience. On the night of the projections, the graphic score was projected onto the three facades of the Cathedral simultaneously, while the organist correlated her gestures with the images and the organ music was diffused live into the public space creating an intimate bond between the sacred interior and profound exterior space.
Establishing a link between the past and the present, Jorge Orta worked with the stained glass artisans to create a series of leaded stained glass projection plates.
