Materials: Open-air buffet installation in the city Utrecht. Limited edition of 210 Royal Limoges porcelain plates and 20 metres hand silkscreen printed table runner.
Concept: Commissioned by the Plein Museum in partnership with the Central Museum Utrecht, 70 x 7 Act 23 celebrates the signing of the first European peace treaty the Treaty of Utrecht (1713-2013). 210 inhabitants from 30 different immigrant and indigenous citizen groups in the city were invited to an open-air installtion in Neude Square. The 30 groups each created a traditional recipe to share and discuss their cultural heritages. The buffet was accompanied by story telling throughout the evening.
